报告简介:This report explores whether bulk high-temperature superconductors represent a technological revolution or a red herring, comprehensively presenting their basic properties, preparation progress, application potential, and groundbreaking achievements.
报告人简介:David Cardwell, Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, previously served as Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Strategy and Planning and Head of the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. He is currently Professor of Superconducting Engineering and founded the Bulk Superconductor Research Group at Cambridge University, focusing on the processing and applications of high-temperature bulk superconductors. These superconductors can generate extremely high magnetic fields, including the world record magnetic field of 17.6 Tesla set in bulk superconductors in 2014.
